In Conversation: Ashley Clark

This event has now ended. You can watch a recording here.

6:30pm – 7:30pm, Tuesday 8 February // Free

We welcome film programmer and writer Ashley Clark to the Cinema of Ideas for this free in-conversation event with Charlotte Cook.

Now the Curatorial Director of the Criterion Collection, Clark has been a creative and highly-influential voice in celebrating and contextualising Black cinema culture over the last decade. From London, but now based in the US, Clark has curated landmark programmes at many major venues on both sides of the Atlantic including the BFI, MoMA, TIFF Bell Lightbox, the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture and the Brooklyn Academy of Music (where he was Director of Film Programming from 2017-2020).

Fresh from attending the Sundance Film Festival, Clark will discuss his passion for cinema and his innovative approach to programming in a conversation with fellow programmer and producer Charlotte Cook, Co-Founder of Field of Vision.

This is a free event but you can support the Cinema of Ideas and our partner cinemas with an optional donation at checkout.
